January 5, 2026

It is hard to comprehend how quickly time passes.  The past year and a half, since my husband’s death on October 17, 2024, has been difficult. We endured constant negative drama, which often left us upset and traumatized.  We can only hope that 2026 will be a kinder and gentler year.

Our Christmas was very low-key. My son and daughter-in-law spent Christmas Eve with me. Prescott spent the afternoon in my kitchen cooking a very delicious meal. Later, we spent the evening reminiscing about the “olden” days. My grandson Benjamin spent Christmas Day with me. We had another delicious meal prepared by Prescott and spent Christmas Day and evening watching a movie and reminiscing. I have to admit I miss the Christmases when my children and grandson were little.

My sister, who has been a widow for eleven years, sent me a chart detailing the difficult process of grief.

I found the following article online and wanted to share it with my readers. The article includes many truths.
